vintage trays, some finds, and a little redecorating

 Hello Dear Friends!
I hope that you are having a lovely week so far! Over the weekend I started a little early spring cleaning and redecorating. I was excited to finally get my little collection of vintage trays hung on the wall. I used paper clips and hot glue, and so far so good! I am on the hunt for some red and pink trays to add, which seem to be a little harder to find.
I ventured to a few thrift stores which ended up being pretty bare of goodies, except one! I came home with another gardenia tray to add to the wall, a sweet milk glass cinnamon spice bottle, and a pretty floral plate.
These cute Juvenile Jamboree transfers were a great ebay find! And, some of these cuties will be stitched up for the shoppe for some new items coming March.
This is another little wall collection that is growing. I want to eventually add some vintage rose/floral needlepoints and floral paintings to it, but the prices at estate sales never seem to be in my budget, and I haven't been lucky at thrift stores, so the hunt continues!
This cute little shelf has been waiting to be hung, and I am happy it is finally up and filled with some sweet treasures!
Some crocheted pot holders I made awhile back, and framed vintage style floral postcards that I used for the save-the-dates for our wedding almost 4 years ago coming this April.
My project list has been put on hold while I work on some orders and new items for the shoppe, but I did cut some squares for my next hexie flower, and will have to sneak in some time to make it. We are supposed to have a lot of rain the rest of the week, so it will be good to stay in and work away.

Wishing you all a most lovely and crafty week!

a quilt sampler top and log cabin block

Hello Dear Friends!
Hope that you had a lovely weekend and a sweet Valentine's Day! Well, I am excited that I finally finished my quilt top for Donna's quilt sampler! This is my first sampler quilt and it was so much fun making! I love how it turned out, especially with all those pretty prints together.
For the sashing, I didn't end up doing the little squares in between because not all my blocks measured up right, and I know I would have been pulling my hair out trying to get it all to line up. So, a simple white with the pretty floral sashing is what I decided, and I love it!

I am super excited because I am going to be sending the quilt out tomorrow to sweet Donna to have her quilt it! This will be my first quilt to have quilted. I am so looking forward to seeing what she does because her quilting is always so beautiful! And, I am excited because her pretty quilting will hide all my mistakes! ;)
For the Sew Sweet Bee, this month was the sweet Clara's of Clover and Violet and she had us make a log cabin block. I have actually never made one before, and really loved making it! Hope she likes it!
A few weeks ago I got these gorgeous fabrics from the lovely Shay of Simply Sweet Fabric and I thought they were just perfect for Valentine's goodies. I loved using them for some things in my shoppe and was still hoping to get a heart garland done, but doesn't look like that will be happening now. ;)
On Valentine's Day a beautiful packages arrived from the sweet Holly of Damita's Pretty Wrap and all these pretties were inside! I just love the sweet Valentine she made!! So creative and thoughtful!! Thank you so much Holly!

Well, I am off to continue working on a custom order and planning some spring items for the shoppe!
Wishing you a beautiful and crafty week, and thank you for visiting with me! xo

some thrifty and cute treasures

Happy Sweet Day!
Hope that your weekend was lovely! Thank you all so much for your sweet and kind words on my new items!! You really know how to make my day brighter! I was so blessed by some amazing customers this month in my shoppe!! I am ever so grateful! I truly love my job!
It has been a busy week, and will be busy for the next couple weeks as I am working on some custom orders and getting some other sweet items put into the shoppe. So my apologies if I seem to a little quieter again. ;)
Over the weekend I went to an estate sale, which sometimes I wonder why I go when prices seem to keep getting higher and higher, but then if I didn't go this absolutely darling baby romper would not have come home with me! There really are somethings that just can't be left behind, even if you don't need it!
These sweet handmade baby sweaters also made their way home with me! I need to find some cute vintage plastic baby hangers to display them all!
Some pretty doilies, which are always on the top of my list,
along with vintage linens. I love the design on this tea towel!
Today at a couple thrift stores I found a Rand McNally Book, The Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane. So cute! Some thank you cards, vintage fabric,...
 a blue rose sheet, and...
vintage wooden hangers! Yay! I have been looking to get some more for my stash to re-purpose for my shoppe, so today was a good day! Have you found some lovely treasures lately?
Well, I hope to be back later this week to show you my Valentine garland, which I am so late in making and putting up, but there is still the rest of the month to enjoy it, and maybe longer! ;)

Wishing you all a wonderful and crafty week!

A happy sweet day to you!
Hope that your weekend was lovely and that you have had a wonderful start to the week! Over the weekend I finally took the plunge and joined Instagram and I am lovin' it! If you are over there you can find me at vintagegreyhandmade
I haven't been able to get out to treasure hunt as much since the new year started, but last week I was able to stop off at a few thrift stores and came home with some lovely and cheap pretties! I was so excited to find a lace curtain as I have been wanting some for awhile. I wish I had them in every window!
A pretty vintage sheet with roses and sweet flowers!
A lovely wooden accordion rack and it is already hung and adorned with a vintage crocheted hanger.
These cute transfers I got on ebay and can't wait to start stitching them up into some sweet tea towels for the shoppe, and maybe one for myself. ;)
And, my new items are all finally in the shoppe! There are lots of new goodies to sweeten up those wintery days!
I thought I was going to take a break from making my vintage tablecloth tea towels, but I just can't resist strawberries and roses! Along with those there are new embroidered tea towels and some pretty vintage fabric and feedsack teas.
Some lovely cross-stitched and embroidered rose pot holders.
Sweet quilted vintage fabric pot holders
 Pretty rose table runners
 Vintagey sweet pillow covers
Sweet heart coasters! These are a couple of the sets I made, and there are a few more sets which you can find here!
Some lovely gift tags perfect for giving your gift wrapping a sweet vintage touch! These are a few sets and there are more which you can find here!
I am also offering one more made-to-order sweet kittens clothespin bag using this pretty picnic green floral reproduction print which you can find more about it here! I will be working on some new clothespin bags that will be in the shoppe soon, too!
Well, I am looking forward to catching up with you and seeing what you have been up to!
Wishing you all a most lovely and crafty week!! xo
